The ‘Ultimate Andalucia’ tour is an 11 day/10 night small group ‘circuit’ tour that takes you around most of Andalucía.
You stay in high quality hotels in the centre of the Cities.
You can add any of the tour extensions to the beginning or end of this tour if you wish to extend your holiday.
Many guests often arrive a day or two beforehand with us organising accommodation in the same hotel in Málaga.

We meet guests who arrived in Málaga before the tour start day, at our meeting point near the hotel at mid-day, to go and visit pretty Mijas mountain village. For guests arriving this day, we collect them from airport or train station and, subject to time, take them to Mijas for a visit. Returning to the hotel, we will take you on a short early evening walking tour of the old quarter. Enjoy the evening and night in stunning Málaga.
After breakfast, a free morning to enjoy Málaga old town, visit any of the sites such as the Alcazaba Fortress, the Picasso Museum or the Cathedral. We meet you at 12 noon for the journey to Granada, stopping on the way at Herradura to have lunch at a beachside ‘Chiringuito’, where they barbeque fresh fish on olive wood fires on the beach. Arriving in Granada City, you check in to the hotel in the centre for two nights. We give you a short orientation tour around the historic areas and then you are free to take dinner and enjoy the City.
We will meet you at 09.30 and drive you to the Alhambra for your visit. You will have pre-purchased tickets that include a specific entry time into the Nasrid Palaces, normally midday. You will have time to explore the Gardens and other areas before the Palaces. The Tour Leader will depart and, after the visit, you can wander down the hill into the centre of the city or take the shuttle bus or taxi. Take lunch and enjoy a free afternoon in Granada. For the evening, we recommend taking a short taxi ride for dinner at Restaurante Jardines de Zoraya. The restaurant is located at the top of the ‘Albayzin’ hill, the old Arab quarter, and the area is highly atmospheric. It has a wonderful ‘non-touristy’ Flamenco performance by talented local professional artists. Arrive at the restaurant around 6.30pm, take dinner and enjoy the show starting at 8pm. If you wish, you can walk to the nearby viewing point ‘Mirador San Nicolas’ to see the Alhambra lit up at night across the Darro valley. You can take a return taxi or walk down the hotel back to your hotel. Spend a second night in Granada.
We will meet you at 09:30 and travel to Córdoba. Check-in to your hotel in the old quarter. We will give you a short walking tour. We will visit the Barrio San Basilio, the old walls of the City, a typical Patio of Córdoba, the Jewish Quarter and take a tapas lunch. In the afternoon, visit the world heritage site of the Mesquita, the greatest ancient Mosque in the Western World. Walk across the Roman Bridge and enjoy the evening and night in historic Córdoba.
After breakfast, visit the Christian Alcazar, with its lovely gardens, and we will meet you and depart for Seville. Arriving in Seville, you will check-in to your hotel and enjoy a tapas lunch in the Barrio Santa Cruz, the pretty old Jewish Quarter. After lunch, we will give you a short walking tour of Seville. We will visit the Maria Louisa Park, the Plaza España and walk past the historic buildings. Then you will be free to visit the Cathedral or just relax. Enjoy a lovely evening and night in this stunning City.
Enjoy a free day in Seville without the presence of the Tour Leader. In the morning, we recommend visiting the Real Alcázar of Seville, the oldest Royal Palaces still in use in Europe. Have fun exploring the historic centre, wandering the narrow streets. Maybe an evening visit to the Metropolitan Parasol, the ‘Setas’, the world’s largest man-made wooden structure. Spend a second night in the City.
We will depart Seville late morning and drive to Jerez. You can visit one of the famous Sherry Bodegas for a tasting. Afterwards, drive the short journey to Cádiz. Check in to your hotel for two nights. We will give you an early evening orientation walk around the historic areas to include, the old Barrio Populo, the Roman Theatre, past the Cathedral, the small flower market and Cadiz market. We leave you to take dinner and spend the evening in Cádiz.
A free day for you to explore Cádiz. One of the oldest continuously occupied Cities in the world. Visit the Roman Theatre and take a tapas lunch in the bustling city market, open throughout the week other than Sundays. Maybe visit the Camera Obscura in the tallest tower of the City, the Torre Tavira. Enjoy a relaxing day and evening in Cádiz.
After breakfast, we will depart Cádiz and travel to the picturesque white village of Ubrique in the Grazalema National Park, renowned for manufacturing high quality leather goods for some of the world’s top fashion houses. Shop, take a tea/coffee and a little wander before departing and arriving in Ronda. Check in to your hotel. Take lunch and enjoy the spectacular scenery around Ronda. Walk across the famous bridge over the Tajo Gorge and maybe visit the Bullring, originally a horse training centre and now a Museum.
A relaxed morning in Ronda followed by a short visit to white village of Setenil de las Bodegas, where the houses are built into the cliffs.
After the visit, travel to the near-by Ardales Lakes to take lunch at a restaurant overlooking the main lake, before arriving back in Málaga around 4pm. The tour will end with the drop-off back at your hotel and your Tour Leader will say goodbye. The hotel room, with breakfast the following morning, is included in your tour price.
Spend time in Málaga before before making your own way for onward travel.
